Fall Assembly Updates and Racial Justice Tipping Point in Fond du Lac - NEWS and EVENT Sept 17 and Oct 15, 2016

Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice

Racial Justice Tipping Point workshop this weekend in Fond du Lac!

Please join us there this Saturday, September 17th for a powerful learning experience. Racism continues to rear its ugliness throughout our country and is evident in Wisconsin through disparities in achievement among children and incarceration rates of people of color. The Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac in collaboration with the WI Network for Peace and Justice is holding a workshop from 8:30-4:00 on September 17th to engage and train people to confront racism. It is part of WNPJ’s Racial Justice Tipping Point Campaign.

Fall Assembly Updates

We are excited to highlight an article that was published about our Lifetime Achievement Award winner Steve Braunginn in Madison 350. Steve was one of the original organizers of WNPJ.  In his words:

“We weren’t looking at starting an organization per se, we were looking to start a movement. The response was immediate, it was broad and we were extremely surprised.”

We also have this great video, put together by our very own John Quilan, celebrating Steve's achievement!  Watch it here. Please join us in person to see Steve receive his award at the Fall Assembly on Oct.15th.

Purchase your tickets and become a sponsor of the Fall Assembly today! Steve was one of the original organizers of WNPJ.  In his words:
