The idea behind AmnesTea is simple: bake some cakes, get some people together, put the kettle on and raise money for Amnesty International’s human rights work around the world.
Every year hundreds of Amnesty supporters do exactly that – and last year raised over £17 000 for our vital research and campaigning work. It’s amazing how much a humble cup of tea can achieve!

This year we are hoping to raise over $100,000 to help protect human rights. But we need at least 500 passionate Amnesty supporters to jump on board to achieve this. Will you?
The official day for AmnesTEA is Thursday 25th August. But events can be held any time, anywhere throughout the month of August. A whole month to drink Tea eat cake and make a difference for human rights!
It couldn't be easier to host an AmnesTEA event – just register your event here and invite people either via social media or by downloading and sending the official AmnesTEA invitation.
