On
behalf of the 2017 AGM Program Committee, we hope you are having a
pleasant summer. We are gearing up for another fantastic season of
planning for our Annual General Meeting and Human Rights Conference. We
are excited to share with you that the conference will be held next year
in Albuquerque, NM. Stay tuned for the official date announcement.
Once
again, at the conference you will join with fellow activists to share
ideas for building and sustaining the human rights movement and be a
part of directing Amnesty International USA in its governance process.
An
important aspect of the planning is to identify the annual theme that
will be used at the 2017 Annual General Meeting and carried throughout
the year. As agents of change to advance human rights we are looking to
you to help us identify the theme for next year.
