Together, over 16,000 people have signed the petition calling on Chinese authorities to free Zhan immediately and unconditionally.
However, Zhan’s situation is more critical than ever. She has been on hunger strike in protest of her incarceration and is at risk of dying if she is not urgently released to receive medical treatment. Her family say they do not expect her to live through the winter if she is not released on medical grounds.
We must keep taking action and maintain this pressure to demand Zhan’s immediate release.
Send a tweet to the Chinese Embassy to demand Zhan’s release.
