Stop Torture. Urge Mexican Government to seek Justice for Claudia Medina Deadline - ASAP

Stop Torture. Urge Mexican Government to seek Justice for Claudia Medina
Deadline  for Online Petition - ASAP

In 2012, Claudia Medina, mother-of-three and natural medicine worker, was abducted by Mexico's military (Marines) from her home in Veracruz, Mexico and took her to a local military base. She was wrapped in plastic, beaten, kicked, and subjected to torture including electric shocks and sexual assault. Marines forced a syringe of chili sauce up her nose. To make the torture stop, Claudia signed a statement she hadn't read, later discovering it was a false confession that she belonged to a criminal gang. Claudia maintained her innocence. Claudia reported her torture, prompting a federal judge to request an investigation. She is one of countless people tortured in Mexico that has increased by 600 per cent in the last decade, with most victims being the poor and the powerless.
