AI Madison Group #139 Weekly Update - Jan. 15, 2016

Greetings Everyone!
It's amazing to me that our small group has had such a tremendous impact on human rights.  In 2015 we posted 1,118 posts on our website, 1,100 posts on Facebook, 861 tweets, and sent 52 Weekly Updates. Our analytics indicate that we have "touched" 60,000 to 80,000 people in 2015. This figure does not include posts or information that you may have shared with your friends or your own postings.
We are in the process of writing our End-of-the-Year Report for Amnesty International. Here is part of our report regarding our strategy using social media. Look for our 2015 End-of-the-Year report and our 2015 Financial Report in future Weekly Updates.
"Using Social Media, our website, and email are at the very crux of our 2015 strategy. Although we cannot measure how many people have actually written letters or signed petitions, we feel that we have touched approximately 60,000 to 80,000 people in 2015 with our approach.
We have seen our website visits increase from 853 in January of 2015 to 2,038 monthly visits in December of 2015. We have received almost 31,000 website visits in 2015. With 575 likes and approximately 400-600 weekly visits to our Facebook page and 21,929 Tweet Impressions for the year 2015, our message and action tools for human rights have spread around the world. Analysis of our viewers indicate that we have received visits from the following countries:  U.S.A., Nigeria, Russia,
Malaysia, France, Portugal, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Poland, China, Taiwan, Egypt, Pakistan, Canada, Bangladesh, Morocco, Italy, New Zealand, Gambia, Senegal, Nepal, Philippines, and Ireland.
We continue to look for more ways that we can connect with the larger human rights community and provide quick and easy tools for them in order to be informed and to take action."

Let's continue our work in 2016. We need your suggestions and ideas. We need your human rights petitions, news, videos, and events. Together... we have worked with the 8 million other Amnesty International advocates fighting for human rights! Together... we are changing the world!  Are you ready to do more?!?
