IHRNGO has been awarded the Documentation Award at the 9th World Congress Against the Death Penalty, held in Paris from 30 June to 2 July 2026. Organised by Together Against the Death Penalty (ECPM), the congress brought together over 1,300 global delegates to strategise on the universal abolition of the death penalty. The award was also dedicated to the “No Death Penalty Tuesdays” abolitionist movement behind bars which is staging its 129th weekly hunger strikes today.
