Amnesty
groups are at the heart of what keeps this organization going, and it’s
in group meetings that most of the magic happens. Meetings are where
Amnesty activists gather to see long-time friends, to learn about
pressing human rights issues throughout the world, and most importantly,
to take action. Each one of us has the power to raise our voice against
injustice, whether that’s through a letter, a phone call, or a tweet.
When we act collectively, we change lives, and change our world.
This
new bi-monthly resource will look familiar to many of you, and its
ultimate aim is to be useful to you. Please take this Action Guide to
your next group meeting, take the actions inside, and then send me your
feedback so we can improve the next one. Most importantly, please report back after
each of your meetings, so that we can all have a better sense of what
we’re doing together, and how we can best support each other in this
work.
