From
1972-1991, Chicago police tortured more than 100 men and women of
color. Sixteen survivors have been exonerated. Approximately nineteen
still remain incarcerated. Dozens served out lengthy sentences. Not one officer has been convicted for the crime of torture. Torture
Reparations Ordinance, currently pending in Chicago City Council, and
to schedule a prompt public hearing. We hope that he can do this in
