"Fantastic news !
A few hours ago Claudia Medina from Mexico has been cleared of all charges. She is one of the five priority cases that AI Australia campaigned for as part of the 2014 global Stop Torture campaign.
A mother of three, in 2012 marines broke into her home, arrested and took her to a local naval base. Over several days Claudia suffered terrible torture.
To make the torture stop, Claudia signed a statement she hadn't read, later discovering it was a false confession that she belonged to a criminal gang. Claudia maintains her innocence.

Huge thanks to everyone who signed the global petition, promoted Claudia's story and helped pressure the Mexican authorities."
