AIUSA Job Opening: Midwest (Associate) Organizer - NEWS

Amnesty International USA
Dear Amnesty Supporter,
Amnesty International USA is looking for an innovative and strategic organizer to propel the movement for human rights forward. The Chicago-based Organizer will play an integral role building grassroots power across the region, empowering leaders, and steering campaigns to create systemic change on human rights issues in the Midwest and worldwide.
Communities face threats to  their human rights every day – police accountability issues, and human rights violations in the prison system, violence against women and children, discrimination against immigrants and LGBTQ communities. While Amnesty works to build global power to end human rights abuses abroad, we also have a renewed and deepened commitment to bringing human rights home to our communities.
We’re looking for someone with organizing in their heart. Someone who loves working with people, strategizing, troubleshooting, and building teams. Someone whose commitment to anti-oppression, justice, and human rights defines the way they work, who champions the voices and leadership of members and impacted communities to demand change.
Interested in applying? Know someone who is interested? We encourage you to pass this description on to your groups and community partners.
