Update 11/6/15: More than 20,000 people have emailed WA's Government, asking them to scrap mandatory sentencing for kids. We’ve caught the government’s attention; now we need to escalate this. Western Australia (WA) locks up Indigenous young people at the highest rate in Australia.
Despite this, the WA Government hopes to pass a 'Home Burglary Bill' which, if successful, will send more young people between the ages of 16 and 17 to prison, and won't reduce burglaries.
