Fomusoh Ivo Feh was looking forward to starting uni until a private SMS joke turned his world upside down. Ivo sent a sarcastic text to a friend, joking about how hard it is to land a job without being highly qualified. The message joked that even Boko Haram, an armed group, wouldn’t hire you unless you passed five school subjects. Little did he know that an ambush was waiting for him, and this private joke would cost him his freedom. A teacher saw the text and alerted police. Ivo was sentenced by a military court to 10 years in prison for ‘crimes’ relating to terrorism.
