It's another Friday. Would Raif Badawi receive another 50 lashes for blogging? This morning, his Facebook page had this message: "No Flogging For #RaifBadawi Today, Thanks for all Supporters #FreeRaif " Amnesty International is one of many groups working on his behalf. If you only sign one petition today, click here. If you only write one letter today, click here. Join us, as we join others, in working to reunite Raif with his wife and children.
Last week, an anonymous AI Group #139 member donated $30.00 to increase our Facebook reach for one week. We applied this money to promote our Weekly Update from last week. Almost 3,000 people saw our post which included links to all of our petitions, urgent actions, human rights news, videos, and calendar of events. This is not a plea for money but an illustration of the power of social media. We need you to read our Facebook and Twitter posts. We need you to "like" and "share" these posts so that we can extend our reach. Perhaps during Write for Rights in December we'll try another paid post. Thank you, Mysterious Member, and thank you, our membership, for keeping us informed and making a difference in our world.
