Amnesty International: Regional Conferences 2015

Dear Amnesty Member,

You're invited to join hundreds of Amnesty members and other human rights activists in attending one of Amnesty International USA's annual regional conferences.

Join us as we get inspired, learn about Amnesty's campaigns, network with other activists and hone our skills to promote human rights and fight injustice. Committed activists will converge to participate in skills-building and content-focused workshops, expert panel discussions, and direct action for human rights that will help us gain new momentum in our campaigns while expanding our collective activism. Our regional conferences are also an important time for members to discuss and help make decisions about Amnesty's plans and policies.

Sign up now for the conference in your region!

Some of the exciting things that are planned to happen at every regional conference this year:
  • Amnesty Moving Forward Plenary: A robust discussion on Amnesty USA's future that will touch on our 2016-2019 strategic planning process and member engagement.
  • Hate Crimes in the Heartland: An award winning documentary film and community outreach project that explores our national epidemic of hate crimes through the lens of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  • From Moment to Movement Plenary: A presentation with activists from an array of protest movements on elevating the ways in which we sustain activism and drive impact in the human rights movement.
As human rights activists, we are challenged to expand awareness about human rights and initiate change within our own communities. The change starts with each of us – join us at a regional conference this fall to have an activism moment, and become part of the movement.

In the coming weeks, we will share further conference information and developments.
