Join our Online Investigators - CHECK IT OUT!

Amnesty International UK

Be part of Amnesty’s mission to map the most remote and vulnerable villages of Darfur. Help document years of attacks and civilian suffering.
Our crisis investigators have uncovered evidence that Sudanese government forces have used chemical attacks and military assaults against civilians in Darfur. The scale and brutality of these attacks is shocking. Hundreds of men, women and children have been killed and injured.
Darfur is closed to outside human rights investigators, making it impossible to get into the region to gather further evidence of these crimes – but satellite photos show they’re happening.

How it works: By searching through satellite imagery you can help us identify buildings such as homes, farms and schools in remote parts of Darfur.
Once the area has been mapped, our network of digital volunteers will help us compare images of villages over time to document the level of destruction.
The evidence you gather will be crucial. It will help us expose the extent of human rights violations in Darfur, and call for the international community to take action.
