Today is UN Day, the anniversary of the United Nations.
For 71 years today, the UN has been a force for global peace and
progress – and the next 15 years could be some of its biggest yet!
Guided by the UN's leadership, the new global goals for sustainable
development could transform our world by 2030, from ending poverty to
empowering girls and women to promoting peace to protecting the planet
from climate change.
But if we're going to reach these goals, it's going to take everyone –
and the UN is the only organization with the platform, reach, and vision
to rally the whole world for a better future.
