Heart and Soles Wisconsin Tour Report - Madison, WI Sept 23, 2014

Hearts and Soles Report
Our Hearts & Soles tour got off to a stunning start in Madison yesterday!  We were joined by gun violence survivors, faith leaders, law enforcement officers and concerned citizens. Representative Terese Berceau and Chief Michael Koval joined us on the steps of the Capitol and spoke powerfully about the need for swift and immediate action.  WAVE members built a powerful display of 467 pairs of empty shoes – each one representing another man, woman or child lost to senseless violence.
Over the next week, we’ll be stopping in cities all across Wisconsin.  And it will be clear that people from every part of our state are standing united to demand an end to the gun violence that claims an average of 467 lives in Wisconsin every year.
