Reflections on Non-Violence, a UW-Madison Event on 9/11: September 11
The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Center for Southeast Asian Studies and the Religious Studies Program are sponsoring a 9/11 program to reflect on non-violence.  Sulak Sivaraksa, Thai Activist/Educator, Co-Founder of the International Network of Engaged Buddhists will be host of this program. As one of Asia's leading social thinkers, Ajarn Sulak Sivaraksa has founded dozens of educational and political grassroots organizations, including the Sathirakoses-Nagapradeepa Foundation, and has authored over 100 books in Thai and English. He has also been nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize and was awarded the Right Livelihood Award, known as the alternative Nobel Peace Prize, in 1995.    
This program that is free and open to the public will be held on Thursday, September 11 (7 PM) at UW-Madison, Morgridge Auditorium, 1100 Grainger Hall (975 University Ave, Madison, WI, 53706).
