"Today we remember those who lost their lives in the attacks of September 11, 2001 in the USA, the families who are still coming to terms with the irreparable loss of their loved ones, and the first responders and survivors who are still struggling with the debilitating after-effects of the attack.
The deliberate targeting of civilians for attack can never be justified and is always an abuse of human rights. As well as causing terrible suffering to the victims and their families, such attacks create a climate of fear in which entire communities live in terror."
