Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort (WAVE): Stand Against Gun Violence in Wisconsin, September 22-27, 2014 Every year, an average of 467 men, women, and children in Wisconsin are killed by guns.
One death is too many -- 467 is a crisis that requires immediate action. That’s why we’ll be traveling with a display of 467 empty pairs of shoes all across Wisconsin to honor the lives of people lost to gun violence and to rally citizens to form a united front in the fight to prevent the tragedies that have devastated so many families and communities. Congresswoman Gwen Moore, US Representative from Wisconsin’s 4th Congressional District, always standing against gun violence, will have a 5-City campaign in Madison (Sept. 22), Eau Claire (Sept 23), Wausau (Sept 23), Appleton (Sept 24), and Milwaukee (Sept. 27). Click here for more information and join community leaders by RSVPing and attending any of these Hearts and Soles events in Wisconsin.
