Uncertain Fate for Thousands in the Dominican Republic - ONLINE PETITION

Amnesty International Midwest Office Facebook Post

Attention Friends:
Authorities of the Dominican Republic have announced the resumption of deportations of undocumented migrants tomorrow, June 18. This means that thousands of Dominicans of Haitian descent, whom has already been arbitrarily deprived of their Dominican nationality since 2013, will now face the looming risk of being expelled of their home-- the ONLY country they have ever known. Amnesty International has just launched the campaign #UncertainFate and put a call to action into place in hopes of placing pressure on the Dominican authorities to avoid the expulsions of Dominican-born people. Please take the time to SIGN the action and raise awareness with the hashtag (UncertainFate)
