Greetings Everyone!
"It is one year today since former South African President Nelson Mandela's passed away. An inspirational man, a strong activist and a voice for human rights. His political struggle and self-sacrifice became and remain an example to millions around the globe.
Let us celebrate his life and legacy." - Amnesty International 12/5/2014

Our way of celebrating UN International
Human Rights Day (which is on December 10), is to "Write a Letter; Change a Life." The 2014 Write for
Rights campaign has TEN cases plus one. We encourage you and your
friends to print & sign or write & sign on behalf of (1) Jorge Lázaro Nunes dos Santos, (2) Liu Ping, (3) Abortion ban in El Salvador, (4) Rampyari Bai and Safreen Khan, (5) Moses Akatugba, (6) Murad Shtewi, (7) Raif Badawi, (8) Chelsea Manning, (9) Darrell Cannon and Anthony Holmes, and (10) Hadiya Pendleton. Just added is an appeal on behalf of the Ayotzinapa 43, the Mexican
students who were kidnapped, tortured, and killed. Actions and petitions are to
arrive at the Amnesty International D.C. office no later than December
12. Online petitions for 2014 W4R cases include: Liu Ping, Raif Badawi, Chelsea Manning, and Rampyari Bai & Safreen Khan. Please
contact us with any questions. Email: group139@aiusa.org.
