AI Madison Weekly Update - January 23, 2015

Greetings Everyone!

Website news: We now have over 500 posts on our website. Try our new "search" feature which will make it easier to find all of the posts related to a particular topic. For example, type "Raif" or "Weekly Update" in the search field found at the upper right-hand side of the website. Have fun! http://ai-madison139.blogspot.com/
Blog Project Update: Thank you for your responses to the survey. Because we had enough interest, a sample blog has been created. Some of the submitted topics include: (1) Sharia Law and human rights. Role of big business (eg. big oil) in areas known for human rights abuses. Defense of ecology and human rights abuses. (2) I am a new member to the group so I am open to learning more about AI's history in general, both internationally and locally. Background information to current campaigns would be helpful too. (3) The difficulties of separating politics and human rights issues. The uncomfortable feeling of interfering with another government’s policies. (4) The concern over an Islamic backlash. Current terrorist events are not reflective of Islam. and (5) Abuses by intelligence agencies and related concerns. Watch for more information about our "Open Forum" blog.

We have "liked" or "shared" on the Facebook pages of local, national, and international human rights organizations. If you know of an organization that we should  "like," please let us know.
