A
recent UN report on child marriage states that 1 in 3 girls in
developing countries are married before age 18. That means millions of
girls never get a real chance at an education and are at an increased
risk of contracting HIV or dying during pregnancy or childbirth. If we
don't stop this trend now, 142 million children will be married by 2020.
Click here to ask John Kerry, Secretary of State, to invest in stopping child marriage and supporting the millions of girls who are already married.
