Madison, WI: "This Changes Everything" - DOCUMENTARY SCREENING May 25, 2016

Join 350 Madison and its partners for a screening of This Changes Everything, a film based on Naomi Klein’s bestseller “This Changes Everything, Capitalism vs. The Climate”. Filmed on five continents, the documentary is an epic attempt to re-imagine the challenge of climate change. As the film presents portraits of seven communities on the front lines, it is interwoven with Klein’s narrative connecting carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. Instead of leaving viewers disheartened, they are urged to seize the crisis to transform our failed economic system into something radically better. The film concludes that organized grassroots resistance to fossil fuel projects may be the single most important force to accomplish this.
Stay after the screening for a brief presentation by Jefferson County landowner Ronni Monroe whose property is near the Enbridge Energy pipeline and Phyllis Hasbrouck of Wisconsin Safe Energy (WiSE) Alliance and a discussion on how we can work together to protect the land, water, and communities of Wisconsin from the risks proposed by Enbridge’s next pipeline project!
