This has been a sad week as we mourn the execution of Reyhaneh
Jabbari. Many of us have sent petitions and rallied for her with the
hope that the Iranian government would reconsider her case. Her last

Although we are saddened by this news, we are also encouraged by
the words of Shiza Shaid who spoke to a large group at the UW-Madison on
Monday. She was the featured speaker at the 2014 Go Big Read event.
