Sri Lanka: Prosecute killers of murdered students - ONLINE PETITION

Change.Org
Jim McDonald, Amnesty International
Jan. 2, 2016 will be the 10th anniversary of the killing of five Tamil students by the Sri Lankan security forces in the town of Trincomalee in northeastern Sri Lanka. No one has been held responsible for their murders. Sign Amnesty International's petition on or before Jan. 2, 2016 and call on the Sri Lankan government to prosecute their killers. https://www.change.org/p/president-maithripala-sirisena-prosecute-killers-of-murdered-students
Ragihar Manoharan was one of five Sri Lankan Tamil students killed by security forces in January 2006 in the city of Trincomalee in northeastern Sri Lanka. Authorities have failed to prosecute anyone for their murder. His case is emblematic of the thousands of people subjected to human rights violations in Sri Lanka by government forces.
Two police investigations and a commission of inquiry on the case of the “Trinco Five” students have yet to result in anyone being held accountable.  Call on the Sri Lankan government to effectively investigate and prosecute those responsible for these murders so that the families of the students may at last receive justice.
