She
may be detained in high-security military prison, serving a 35-year
sentence for whistleblowing, but Chelsea Manning has a lot to say. And
it’s an honour to help her get her voice out there.
Imprisoned
for attempting to shed light on potential human rights abuses by US
forces and their allies in the war on Iraq, Chelsea has defined how we
think of whistleblowers in the digital age – she remains responsible for
the biggest leak of military information in US history. Yet the abuses
she exposed haven’t been investigated, and Chelsea has sacrificed
decades of her freedom.
She has managed to tell us her story from prison – and we’re releasing it today in a new podcast.
