Suspend Saudi Arabia from the UN Human Rights Council - INFO & ONLINE PETITION

Amnesty International New Zealand
This 12 year old girl is just one of 1.8 million Yemeni kids who can’t go to school because the Saudi Arabia led coalition has turned their world into a place of fear, senseless killing and destruction.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia has led a relentless campaign in Yemen that has deliberately targeted schools, hospitals and other civilian objects - a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a war crime. Saudi Arabia is shamelessly using its position on the UN Human Rights Council to shield itself from scrutiny and accountability.
When Saudi Arabia was first elected to the Council in 2014, they pledged to uphold the highest standards of human rights. However, their actions speak otherwise. Since their attack on Yemen, 3,500 civilians have lost their lives, 700 of them children. The fighting has left 2.4 million people internally displaced. Meanwhile at home, they’ve crushed all forms of peaceful dissent and executed more than 350 people, including critics. Women continue to be severely discriminated against.
