On Wednesday, June 29, at 1 pm, on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall, we invite you to join Congressman Becerra, Congresswoman Chu, Congresswoman Bass and Congresswoman Royball-Allard on a National Day of Action on Gun Violence Prevention.
National Day of Action will have the same message as the 26-hour “sit-in”: demanding that House Speaker Ryan bring up for an up-or-down vote the bipartisan bill strengthening and expanding background checks and the bipartisan bill banning people on terrorism watch lists from buying guns.
House Democratic Caucus Chairman Xavier Becerra's #NoBillNoBreak Sit In Remark, June 23, 2016
Madison – U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan (WI-02), along with community leaders and local activists will gather on the steps of the City/County Building in downtown Madison at 5pm CT on Wednesday, June 29, to hold a National Day of Action rally on gun violence prevention. Last week, the Democratic #NoBillNoBreak Sit-In on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives showed that Republican Leadership can no longer ignore the epidemic of gun violence. Wednesday marks a National Day of Action on gun violence prevention, as Democratic Members of Congress from across the county will take the fight for commonsense gun safety to the streets.
