Sandara Farouq Kadouda
was released on 15 April, three days after she had been abducted by men
believed to be National Intelligence Security Service (NISS) agents.
Her family told Amnesty International in a public statement that day:
“Our daughter was released today, as she was kidnaped by security
apparatus [NISS] on 12 April. She contacted her mother around 7:30 pm
and told her that the security agents dropped her at Street 60 [in east
Khartoum]”. She was found in very poor health and with signs of ill
treatment.
