Nov 14, 2015 — Ban Ki-moon, the General
Secretary of the United Nations, in his report to the sixty-ninth
General Assembly of the UN on 12 August 2014, has included a section on
the situation of political prisoners in Iran who are deliberately being
deprived of medication and medical attention by the Islamic regime. This
is the first time that this issue has been brought to surface and has
been reported by a UN Secretary General. This is mainly the result of
the ‘Don’t Let Their Heartbeat stop’ campaign which was initiated by the
Campaign to Free Political Prisoners in Iran (CFPPI) in support of
prisoners deprived of medical attention. This campaign has
internationally exposed the Islamic regime for this deliberate act of
silently killing political prisoners in Iran.
