UW Madison, WI: Jamnesty - April 22 at 7:00pm

Amnesty International UW Madison Students

Jamnesty - University of Wisconsin - Madison
Come one, come all to the first ever Jamnesty! Amnesty International is partnering with GlobeMed, Muslim Student Association, Justice for Palestine and Students for Israel on April 22 to support the organization Road to Mafraq. This organization is raising money to help send Syrian refugees back to school during this time of crisis. Over 1 million children are out of school because of the current civil war...we can help change this.

Come join us for a night of music, food, and fun at The Crossing on April 22 from 7-8pm.
$3 students, $5 non-students

NOTE: We do not raise or advocate donations to any of the organizations in our postings. Although, I must say they have an awesome looking t-shirt.

4/22/2016 UPDATE NOTE: We just received an email from Angie Hougas, AIUSA Board Member, who told us that we could not publicize this Amnesty International University of Wisconsin Madison Student event on our website, Weekly Update, Facebook, or Twitter pages because it is a fundraiser for Syrian refugees. In our original post we stated, "We do not raise or advocate donations to any of the organizations in our postings." We also state on the sidebar of our website that "We do not raise or advocate donations to any of the organizations in our postings." We would also like to state that we have not contributed any funds or other goods to this event. We wish them good luck.  In full disclosure, I have personally ordered a t-shirt. We have removed this event from our Calendar of Events.
